A private isn't a class with fewer people — it's a program. Your instructor reads your body, your sport, your injury history, and writes the work for the next six weeks. Three ways to book it: classic 1:1, duet (two clients, one instructor), or a four-pack assessment for new clients who want a clear movement plan before joining classes.

Private 1:1

The standard offering. Sixty minutes. Reformer is the default, but instructors will switch you to tower, chair, or mat depending on the goal. Saoirse, Imani, Petra, Caleb, or Aurora — pick the instructor whose specialty matches your work.

No surprises and no upsell. The prices below are the prices you'll be billed. Sessions are 60 minutes including a 5-minute intake at the start. We accept HSA / FSA cards on most plans; superbills sent on request for insurance reimbursement (out-of-network).

Eight reasons people book.

Privates are the right fit when group class can't get you what you need. Below are the eight most common reasons clients book one-on-one with us. If you don't see your reason, write us — most things fit.

You're returning from injury

Knee, shoulder, low back, post-surgical. Privates let an instructor program around the limitation and progress you faster than a class can.

ii.

You're brand new and want a head start

The four-session assessment is built for this. You'll join classes knowing what to look for and how to ask for what you need.

iii.

You're an athlete in season

Caleb runs sport-specific programming for runners, cyclists, tennis, and golf. Tempo and load are matched to your training calendar.

iv.

You're pregnant or postpartum

Petra runs the pre + post-natal privates four mornings a week. Programs follow trimester and postpartum phase, with provider clearance on file.

v.

You travel a lot

Drop-in privates, no expiry. Book one or two before a trip, then reset when you're back. We hold your file between visits.

vi.

You and your partner train together

The duet format. One instructor, two reformers. Most couples report better attendance than booking solo classes separately.

You have scoliosis or chronic pain

Imani specializes here. The first three privates are diagnostic — we work to identify what aggravates and what relieves the pattern.

You want privacy

Some clients prefer 1:1 attention regardless of fitness or experience. We are happy to be the studio you want.

how it works

Four steps, one phone call.

If you've never booked a private with us, here is exactly how it goes from first contact to first session. Most clients are on the reformer within the same week.

ii.

Book the intake

Your first private opens with a 15-minute intake — history, screening, goals. Petra and Imani run a slightly longer pre-natal or post-rehab intake; that's normal.

iii.

Move on the carriage

The remaining 45 minutes is on the reformer. Slow tempo, lots of cuing. You'll leave with a sense of how the work feels in your body — and we'll write the next session for you.

iv.

Build the program

Sessions two through five build progression — strength, mobility, breath. By session six you'll know the apparatus well enough to begin group classes if you want.
