Today's wave forecast, what the tide is doing, and three pop-up reps on the beach before anyone touches water.

Whitewater session for newer campers, slightly outside for second-years. Coaches in the water at 4:1 ratio.

Curriculum

More than just surfing.

Salt Shore camp is run by Talia Reis, a former elementary school teacher and ISA-certified coach. Her curriculum balances actual surfing with a real ocean-awareness program kids leave actually using.

  • Rip currentsHow to spot them, what to do if you're caught in one
  • Tide readingHow to know what the ocean is doing without a phone
  • Marine lifeWhat the kelp, fish, and birds are doing right now
  • Surf etiquetteRight of way, paddling out, shared lineup respect
  • First aid basicsBandaging, CPR awareness, what to do if a friend gets hurt
  • Board careCarrying, waxing, repair fundamentals — they leave with a board they can take care of
