HOW TO ARRIVE.

From downtown, head west on Haywood Road past the bridge — we're on the right just before the laundromat. Twelve minutes from the Grove Park, eight from the River Arts District, fifteen from Black Mountain.

From the airport (AVL)

22 miles · 28 minutes via I-26 + Patton Ave
Cab around $42 · Uber/Lyft around $35 surge depending
The Roan, the Foundry, and the Inn on Biltmore are all eight minutes

By bike or foot

Bike racks bolted to the iron post out front (six bikes)
The B-cycle dock is on Haywood + Joyner, two blocks east
Greenway connects to the French Broad in eight minutes

Opened the place in 2009 with a borrowed PA and a five-year lease. Pours a stiff old-fashioned and tells too long of a story.

Mim runs the floor and books every private event. If she's at the host stand at 6pm, you're getting the right table.

Kira Toledo

— Chef de cuisine

Came to us from Knife & Fork in 2018. Built the brunch menu, runs the seasonal mains rotation, makes the best fries in the southeast.

Wes Pelham

— FOH + booker

Mixes every show on weekends, books most of them midweek. Played bass with three of our headliners before he ran sound for them.

PARKING.

No lot of our own — we share Haywood with the laundromat, the dispensary, the coffee shop, and the bookstore. There's almost always a spot within a block. Three options below.

Free, on-street

Haywood Rd & Joyner

Free after 6pm, two-hour limit before. Haywood between Brevard and Mardell almost always has open spots after seven.

Public lot

The Beacham lot

Half a block east, two-hour free in the daytime, free after 6pm and on weekends. Twelve spots, gravel.

Around the corner

Vermont Ave residential

One block south, no meters, free parking. Two-minute walk back to the front door, well-lit.
