The work, volume by volume.

A scrolling archive of the past three years — weddings, editorial assignments, engagement work, the rare commercial story. Most of what's here was shot on Hasselblad 500CM medium format and Leica M6 35mm. Everything was developed and scanned at Richard Photo Lab in Los Angeles.

Mara & Pieter
in Tuscany

A three-day Italian wedding in late September, shot on three rolls of Portra 400 medium format and four rolls of Tri-X 35mm. The light was extraordinary — long, warm, slow — and the bride didn't care for posed photographs. Most of these were made in passing.

Editorial shoot
— Editorial · Bazaar Italia

Quiet light, quieter rooms

An eight-page editorial for Bazaar Italia's spring travel issue, photographed across three days in a converted convent outside of Florence. Working with stylist Luna Vincenti and a single wardrobe assistant, the shoot ran like a slower, weirder wedding day.

Bowery wedding
— Volume XXXI

Devon & June,
at home

A New York elopement in a Bowery rental, with twelve guests, a dinner cooked on a hotplate by the bride's mother, and a single bouquet from the deli on the corner. The kind of wedding the camera was made for: small rooms, soft window light, plates being passed.

Aida & Ryo
in the Catskills

An afternoon walk turned engagement session, shot in late November on the dirt road north of their cabin. Two rolls of Tri-X, one of Ektar. Aida had warned me she "doesn't really photograph" — these are some of the easiest portraits I've made in years.

— How a Your Business shoot works

From inquiry to archive.

Four steps from the first email to the final print box. The whole process takes nine to fourteen weeks for a wedding, three weeks for editorial. Slower than digital workflows; faster than the magazines you remember.

— Step i.

The inquiry

You write me a real note about your day. I write back within two business days, with availability and the right collection for the size you're imagining.

— Step ii.

The planning call

A thirty-minute video call about light, location, family, and what you don't want photographs of. Most of my best photographs come out of the things I learned in this call.

— Step iii.

The day

I shoot quietly. I'll be in the room before you arrive and the last to leave. You won't see me direct anyone unless I think it'll matter in the picture.

— Step iv.

The archive

Eight to ten weeks after the wedding, the gallery and a hand-bound proof print box arrive at your door. Albums and large prints follow if you've added them.

— Want to talk?

Send me a note about your day.

I take a maximum of forty weddings a year. 2026 has six dates remaining; 2027 is open. I respond to every inquiry within two business days from a real email, even if it's only to say my date is taken.
