Pick a fundamentals slot, fill out the form, show up fifteen minutes early. We'll wrap your hands, lend you gloves, walk you through the warm-up, and put you through the same opening class our members take. No card on file. No pitch at the end.

How the round goes.

  1. Show up earlyArrive fifteen minutes before class. We'll check you in at the front, walk you to a locker, and tape your hands while we talk you through the rules of the floor.
  2. Warm up with the roomFive minutes of jump-rope, three minutes of shadow, and a slow round of footwork drills. You'll be sweating before the first instruction.
  3. Fundamentals classForty-five minutes on the four punches and the three defenses, taught by Coach Yuki. You will not throw a hard shot tonight. You will throw a thousand light ones.
  4. Cooldown & talkTen minutes of stretching and a short conversation with the coach about how you felt. We answer questions; we do not pitch a membership. If you come back, that's the answer.

What to bring.

Athletic shoes

Anything you can pivot in. Flat-soled is best. Running shoes are okay for the first round but you'll want flats long-term.

Two t-shirts

One to start, one to put on after. The floor temperature sits at 78°F and you will sweat through the first one inside the first ten minutes.

Water · 32 oz min

Drinking fountain on the floor but a bottle is faster. We sell electrolyte tabs at the desk for $0.50 each, take or leave.

An open mind

Most people who come back say they wish they'd come in a year earlier. Don't worry about being out of shape. Everybody starts somewhere.
