Maker portrait

Theo Mathers

Lead maker · Joinery

Twelve years at the bench, formal training at North Bennet Street School. Theo cuts every dovetail and tenon by hand and refuses to use anything but a marking gauge for layout.

"A good piece you can't see the joinery on is a bad piece. The joint is the work."

Maker portrait

Iyana Park-Reyes

Maker · Finishing & CAD

Iyana joined in 2019 from a residency at Penland. She handles every drawing, every CAD file, every hardwax oil cure. Her finishes are why our pieces photograph so well.

"Hardwax oil isn't a coating, it's a partnership with the board. Some of them just won't do it."
