Three commission slots open per quarter. Send the shape, the wood, the room — we send a sketch and a quote within five business days. Sixteen weeks from contract to door, with weekly bench-side photos.
The form on the right takes about ten minutes — the more dimensions and use-cases you can give us up front, the better the first sketch. Photographs of the room are welcome by reply.
If we can't meet your budget tier we'll say so on the first reply, no charge to inquire.
Yes — if we send a sketch and you don't like it, we refund the $240. The sketch itself is yours to keep, drawn to scale on full-size paper. We charge the fee only to filter for serious inquiries.
If it's properly kiln-dried (under 8% MC), graded FAS or better, and we can mill straight stock from it — yes. We'll inspect a sample first. Bringing your own wood usually saves 10–15% on a large piece.
Selectively. Hand-cut joinery, period-correct repairs, refinishing. We don't touch laminate or veneered case work. Send a photo with your inquiry and we'll tell you yes or no within a week.
Lifetime structural — joinery, glue-ups, splits. Finish and dent care is on you, but we'll re-oil any piece for cost-of-shipping in years one through three. No restocking, no exclusions for "wood movement" because of course wood moves.
To Canada and the UK by container freight, yes. We've shipped two pieces to Tokyo and one to Stockholm. Add four weeks and roughly $1,800–$3,200 for crate-and-freight on a major piece.
Yes — 15% off for ASID / IIDA-credentialed designers and architects on commissions over $6,000. Send your firm name with the inquiry and we'll apply the line item to the quote.
