A four-claw brass solitaire setting around a 1.62-carat octagonal step-cut Zambian emerald, sourced directly from the Kagem mine. The shoulder is hand-engraved with a single hairline groove — a quiet signature you'll feel before you see it. Cut, set, and finished on the bench by Marian Halsey.
Marian sourced the rough stone on a March trip to Kagem, then walked it through every cutting stage with our Antwerp partner — a four-week process from rough estimate to final octagonal step. Setting is done in a single afternoon: the four claws are hand-raised, polished, and then the stone is gently bezel-tightened by feel.
The brass-yellow gold is alloyed in our studio from raw 24k stock. We don't use plated or vermeil finishes on solitaires — every gram is solid 18k.
