Independent illustrator since 2017 ·

A friendly,
a little bit
weirder kind of
illustration.

Editorial covers, picture-book interiors, packaging, repeat-pattern surface design, and the occasional risograph zine. I work in gouache, watercolour, and Procreate — sometimes all three on the same page. Studio in Edinburgh; commissions ship globally.

How a project runs

Four steps,
no surprises.

step 1

Brief in

Send the form on the inquiry page or email the studio direct. I read everything personally and reply inside two business days with availability and a quote.

step 2

Sketches first

Three rough thumbnails for editorial work, two for picture-book covers. Pick one, iterate. No final art before the rough is signed off.

step 3

Final art & one round of revisions

Painted in gouache or worked up in Procreate at 600dpi. One round of revisions is included; subsequent rounds are billed at the day rate.

step 4

Files & afterlife

Layered TIFF, flat PNG, print-ready CMYK PDF, and any tech sheets the printer needs. Originals available on request — most clients ask.
