Six different inboxes for six different reasons to talk to us. The interest form for housing is the long one near the bottom; the rest are quick. We answer every email within two business days, and Renée answers hers in one.
For inquiries about applying for any of our five housing programs — new build, rehab-in-place, rent-trust, trust resale, or counseling. Renée's team responds inside two business days.
For gift questions, stock or DAF transfers, gifts over $5,000, named-gift opportunities, or matching-gift paperwork. Theo Barlow runs this inbox.
For build-day RSVPs, skilled-trades roster questions, office-volunteer scheduling, or anything calendar-related. Karina Acharya manages volunteer coordination.
For interview requests, photo permissions, fact-checking, board availability, and policy questions. Eleanor handles all press personally; expect a same-day reply.
Local Hudson Valley businesses interested in becoming a Cornerstone, Foundation, or Threshold sponsor. Includes the non-displacement pledge, employee build-day priority, and impact reporting.
Anything else — including refer-a-building, refer-a-family, foundation introductions, board recommendations, comments on our model, and the occasional postcard. Goes to Eleanor's desk.
One form for every housing program. Tell us about your household, your income range, and what you're looking for; we'll match you to the program(s) you qualify for and respond within five business days.
There is no fee, no obligation, and no credit check at this stage. The form goes directly to Renée Diallo (Director of Resident Services) and is reviewed by a HUD-certified counselor.
Our office is in a converted storefront on Front Street, between the Beacon train station and the Howland Cultural Center. We're a working office — not designed for drop-ins — but if you'd like a tour, email Eleanor and we'll set it up. Coffee from Big Mouth, two blocks down.
The office houses our seven-person staff, our annual archive of every Your Business deed, and a small library of CLT case studies. The street side has a window display that rotates with whatever build is currently underway.
Once a quarter we send a long, slow newsletter — what was built, who moved in, what we learned, what we're trying next, plus the photo Renée took that quarter that everyone forwarded. No fundraising in it; that's a separate envelope. About 4,200 subscribers.
