A one-hour discovery call with a Managing Partner. No deck. No pitch. We listen, ask the questions thirty-four years of practice has taught us to ask, and tell you honestly whether we are the right fit. Below the threshold we are happy to refer to peers.
From the moment you submit the form below to the moment we either decline the engagement or send a Limited Letter of Intent — typically 30 days. The pace is set by you, not us.
You submit the brief application form. We countersign a mutual NDA before any further conversation. Your information is held by Eleanor and one other partner only.
A 60-minute call with a Managing Partner. No deck. We will ask about the family, the balance sheet, the existing advisor relationships, and what is actually keeping you up at night.
If both sides remain interested, we host you and your spouse / co-principals at our Boston or Greenwich office. You meet the partner team and tour the practice. No commitment.
We draft a 6-page written proposal: scope of engagement, fee structure, transition plan, partner team. Delivered in person, never over email.
If the fit is right, we sign an Engagement Letter and begin onboarding. If it is not, we will tell you so directly and refer you to one of three peer firms we trust at your asset level.
We accept new family relationships at $25M+ in liquid investable assets. The threshold reflects the practical fee economics of our service model — not a judgment about the quality of the family below it. We are pleased to refer to excellent advisors at smaller minimums.
Many of our most enduring relationships began with a phone call to one of our three offices, often introduced by an existing client family or trusted outside counsel. Direct lines are below.
The original office. Investment, tax, and estate practices. Eleanor and Gerard Ashworth split time between Boston and the partner offices each week.
The governance and private-markets office. Priya Vasudevan and Theodore Halloran are based here. Most family-meeting facilitations and council retreats are hosted here.
Representative office serving four UK and European-resident families. Reed Calloway leads. Coordinates HMRC and currency-overlay matters with London-based counsel and custodians.
