By season

The garden looks a little different every quarter.

Q1 · Wet season tail

February — March

Greenest of the year. Heavy short rains in the late afternoon, perfect light at dawn. The garden is in bloom and the rice terraces are flooded.

~28°C avg · 75% humidity
Q2 · Dry beginning

May — June

Our most popular months. Bright clear mornings, light breeze on the platform, evenings cool enough for a long sleeve. The rice harvest comes in.

~26°C avg · 60% humidity
Q3 · High dry

July — September

Driest, brightest stretch. Nights pleasantly cool. Best season for the longer mountain hikes and the cold-water excursions to Sebatu.

~25°C avg · 55% humidity
Q4 · Festival run

October — December

Galungan and Kuningan fall here in 2026. Temple processions every few days, the village in offerings, fireworks the whole month before Nyepi.
