The full arc — from the first conversation to the last switch plate.
Six rooms or more, end-to-end. We start with two in-home discovery sessions, then move into a 12-week design phase covering floor plans, palette, lighting, and millwork before any sample arrives. Construction phase is project-managed bi-weekly. Install, art and styling close the engagement.
Whole-home is offered as a project-based fee — typically 18–22% of total project spend, structured against milestones. We collaborate with architects of record where the work crosses into structural; otherwise we run interior-only.
One room, resolved. Eight to twelve weeks, flat fee.
The Refresh is for clients with a single room that's holding the rest of the house back — most often a primary bedroom, a sitting room, or a child's room turning into a teenager's. Two in-home sessions, full furniture and finish specification, trade-discount sourcing on pieces, and a one-day install.
Refresh is intentionally bounded. We do not move walls, change kitchens, or take on full-bath gut work under this fee. If the brief widens during scoping, we'll convert to Whole-Home or Hourly Consult — your fee is credited.
For owner-led projects that need a designer in the room — and that's it.
You're general-contracting your own renovation, or running your own sourcing, but you've reached a wall — paint colour, layout, lighting plan, finish stack. An hourly consult brings the studio in for a defined site visit and verbal direction, optionally with a follow-up shopping list.
Two-hour minimum. Available in-person within a 90-minute drive of Brooklyn, or remote anywhere. Many of our long-running e-design clients started here.

Practical questions, answered straight.
Do you mark up furniture?
No. Trade discounts pass through to you in full. We earn our fee from the design and project-management work, not from your pieces. You'll see every invoice.
Can you work with our architect?
Yes — preferred, in fact. On Whole-Home commissions we coordinate weekly with the AOR and contractor. We do not act as architect of record ourselves.
How early should we engage you?
Earlier than you think. The best work happens when interiors and architecture are designed together. If you're 8–12 months from breaking ground, that's the right window.
Will we work with you directly?
Always. Lena is on every walkthrough, every design review, every install day. Our second team member, Adriana, handles procurement and project management.
Outside New York?
We take projects in the Hudson Valley, Litchfield County, and the Connecticut shoreline routinely. Beyond that, see E-Design for our remote service.
What's the budget floor?
Whole-Home commissions start around $250k all-in (construction + FFE). Refresh fee covers ~$30k–60k of pieces typically. If you're below that, Hourly is best.
Pick a shape — book the call.
Two slots remain for autumn 2026 commissions. The 30-minute discovery call is the first step regardless of which service you're considering.
