Asheville NC · Independent practice · Est. 2014

Real time with your kid's doctor.

Your Business is an independent practice serving newborn through age 21. Extended visits, attachment-aware care, and a vaccine conversation that doesn't make anyone feel small.

Three things we do differently.

i. ii. iii. — How we work
~ i.

Extended visits

Our well-child checks are scheduled at 40 minutes, not 12. Your pediatrician walks in already familiar with your child's chart — and stays in the room long enough for the real questions to surface.

~ ii.

Attachment-aware

We're trained in trauma-informed and attachment-based pediatric care. We talk to children directly. We talk to parents like collaborators. We never pretend a hard week with a kid is something to be embarrassed about.

~ iii.

No-judgment conversations

About vaccines, sleep, screens, formula, behavior, anything. We share evidence, we share our recommendations, and then we listen to you. The decision is yours every time.

What a visit looks like.

v. — Four steps
i

Pre-visit note

You tell us what's on your mind 24 hours ahead, in writing. We read it before you arrive.

ii

Slow check-in

No clipboards. No iPad. A real human, a cup of tea if you want one, ten minutes of nothing rushed.

iii

The visit itself

40 minutes with your pediatrician. Your child is part of the conversation, age-appropriate.

iv

The plan

A short written follow-up, a direct line to your doctor for 10 days, and a same-day refill if needed.

We accept most major insurance — and a sliding scale for families who don't have it.

In-network with Blue Cross NC, Aetna, Cigna, United, Medicaid, and CHIP. Self-pay families on a sliding scale based on household size and income. We never decline care for inability to pay.

Common questions.

vi. — Six answers
How quickly can I get a sick visit?

We hold same-day sick slots every weekday morning and afternoon. Established patients can usually be seen the same day they call before 11 a.m. After-hours guidance is available by nurse line every evening until 10 p.m.

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes — currently for newborns and children under 14. We're at capacity for adolescent intake until June 2026, but you're welcome to start the new-patient process anyway and we'll hold a spot.

What's your stance on the vaccine schedule?

We follow and recommend the AAP schedule. We also genuinely sit with families who want to ask questions, slow it down, or modify it. You will never be lectured here. You will also never be misled — we'll tell you what we think and why.

Do you offer virtual visits?

Yes — for follow-ups, behavioral check-ins, medication management, and triage. We don't do first-time well-child visits virtually because we want to actually meet your kid.

Will my child see the same pediatrician each visit?

That's our default. You'll be matched with a primary pediatrician at your first visit and we work hard to protect continuity — even for sick visits when at all possible.

Are you LGBTQ-affirming?

Yes. We provide affirming care for LGBTQ+ children, adolescents, and parents. Our intake forms reflect chosen names and pronouns, and our adolescent visits include private one-on-one time as standard.
