Westridge A-Frame
A 1972 owner-built triangle on the eastern slope, restored in 2022 with cedar siding, a Vermont Castings stove, and a soaking tub looking out over the Nooksack drainage.
About this cabin
The cabin sits on a sloped lot at 3,400 feet, ringed by mature Douglas firs. Two bedrooms — one loft, one off the main floor — and a living room built around a cast-iron stove. The host stocks the firewood. There's a French press, a hand-thrown ceramic pour-over, and a record player with a small but careful collection of folk and ambient. No TV by design.

Marisol & Eli Rendon
Marisol runs a small ceramics studio in Bellingham. Eli built the new bathroom himself last winter. They live 12 miles down the road and will probably stop by to drop off pastries.

What stayers say
"We came up for our anniversary and ended up extending an extra night. Marisol left us a hand-drawn map of the trailheads. The wood stove kept the place warm all weekend."
"My wife is a quiet person. This was the first place we've stayed where she could really hear herself think. The outdoor shower is a portal."
"The record collection alone is worth the drive. Eli stocked the kitchen with sourdough from a bakery I now order from monthly."
"Loved everything about it. The road in is a little gnarly in winter — bring chains. Otherwise perfect."
