Halley Stevensons of Dundee, Scotland — the original waxed cotton mill, founded 1864. We use their 12oz "Sundowner" cloth — the same stock used by the Royal Navy.
Each coat is cut, sewn, and finished by one of three pattern-cutters in our Kyoto atelier. Twenty-one working days from cloth to shipping. No throughput pressure.
If your coat fails inside ten years of normal wear, we will repair or replace it — no charge. We have only had to do this eleven times since 2018.
Bought the Field Coat in 2022. It's been re-waxed twice (free, both times), worn on three continents, and looks better than the day I unpacked it. The lining alone is worth the price.
