Measure your bed in two minutes, never wonder again.

The right linen sheet is one that hugs the corners and tucks generously without straining. Below is the calculator we use ourselves, plus the size table our cutters work from.

The Calculator

Mattress depth, simplified.

Most mattresses sit between 9 and 16 inches deep. Add a topper and you can land at 18 or more. Tell us yours and we'll recommend a size before you ever pay.

Recommendation

Queen · 14in pocket

Your bed totals 14 inches with the topper. Our Queen Heirloom Set fits 9–18in and tucks 16in on the flat — a generous, easy-untuck fit.

Three Common Depths

A quick orientation.

9″

Standard

Most foam-only and innerspring mattresses without a topper. The fitted sheet sits taut, the flat tucks to a sixteen inch overhang.

12″

Pillow-top

Innerspring with a built-in pillowtop, or foam plus a slim 2in pad. Our standard Heirloom Set was cut with this in mind.

16″+

Topper-tall

A 14in mattress plus a 3in latex or featherbed. Order the deep-pocket variant — same price, different elastic.

Care — In Five Steps

A linen, lived-in.

  1. Cold wash, separatelyThe first three washes will deepen the colour and soften the weave further. Wash on cold, alone, with mild detergent.
  2. Skip the fabric softenerLinen softens through use. Softener coats the fibre and prevents the cloth from breathing.
  3. Tumble low or line-dryLow heat is best. Pull from the dryer slightly damp and stretch flat to finish.
  4. Iron only ceremoniallyThe crinkle is part of the cloth. Iron only the pillowcase faces if you must — and only on linen setting.
  5. Rotate two setsIf you sleep daily on the same set, you'll halve the wear by alternating two. Most of our customers do.
