Patents drafted to survive examination, not just survive filing.

A 9-attorney IP firm with engineers and scientists at the table. We file utility, design, and plant patents; trademarks across the 45 Nice classes; copyrights and trade-secret strategy. We sit on your side of the prior-art conversation — not the docketing-clerk's.

EXAMPLE · UTILITY APP. NO. 18/247-309
[0001]
An apparatus for self-alignment of a rotating axial-flux motor armature, comprising:
[0002]
a stator assembly defining a magnetic-flux gap of width w₁;
[0003]
a rotor assembly coaxially aligned with the stator and configured to rotate within said gap;
[0004]
a bearing race coupled to the rotor, comprising a plurality of compliant elements arranged to absorb axial-displacement forces in a radially-symmetric pattern; and
[0005]
a controller in electrical communication with said bearing race, the controller programmed to detect a measured axial deviation and apply a corrective compensation signal.
[0006]
2. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the compliant elements are elastomeric and the radially-symmetric pattern is approximately hexagonal.
[0007]
3. The apparatus of claim 2, further comprising a temperature sensor coupled to the bearing race and providing input to said controller.

§ 04   /   Featured filing   /   FIG-3 isometric

How a real spec we filed got allowed in 14 months.

An axial-flux motor inventor came to us with a confused 2-figure draft and a marketing-led description. We rewrote the spec around four independent claims, narrowed dependent claims by sensor topology, and prosecuted past two § 103 obviousness rejections.

Allowed at second action with all four independent claims intact. The figure at right is FIG. 3 from the issued patent, redrawn for the public site.
