Fifty-two of the questions we get asked most often, in plain language. Updated weekly. If yours isn't here, write tickets@yourbusiness.com — a human reads every one and writes back within a business day.
The money questions, in approximate order of how often we get asked them.
Full refund up to July 1, 2026. After that, transferable but non-refundable. We can move your ticket to a friend or colleague — just email tickets@yourbusiness.com with the new attendee's details. VIP tickets are non-refundable after acceptance because they include personalized perks (studio tours, dinners) we book ahead.
Yes. At checkout choose "Invoice" instead of "Card" — we'll generate a PDF invoice within 24 hours, registered to your company's billing address. We accept SEPA bank transfer, card, and Stripe-routed wire. We've handled procurement for studios in 32 countries.
Yes — half price (€240) for anyone enrolled in a degree program (BFA, MFA, BA, MA, PhD). Choose "Student" at checkout and upload a current student ID in the next step. We also hold sixty free tickets a year for students from under-represented backgrounds — apply at yourbusiness.com/diversity by June 30.
You can transfer to anyone, no questions asked. Email tickets@yourbusiness.com with the replacement attendee's name + email. We'll re-issue the badge in their name and update the networking app within an hour. If you'd rather skip the year, we can credit you a full ticket toward L27 (Mexico City).
Yes. Studios buying 4 or more tickets at once get a flat 20% off list and a private slack room with the conference team. Email groups@yourbusiness.com with the number of tickets and we'll generate a custom checkout link.
We've never cancelled (knock wood). If we did — pandemic, building closure, force majeure — we'd refund every ticket holder the full ticket cost, no questions, within 14 days. You'd keep the swag.
Yes. We allocate 250 early-bird tickets at the start of each cycle, first-come. The counter on the tickets page is live (recompiled every five minutes). When it hits zero, we move to standard pricing.
Yes — pay the difference (€920 + VAT) and your badge is upgraded within 24 hours. Studio tours and speakers' dinners get added to your registration. Email tickets@yourbusiness.com.
For first-time attendees and the people who answer questions on their behalf.
Yes. We run a dedicated 10 GbE network for the conference, with three separate SSIDs: YOUR BUSINESS26 (general), YOUR BUSINESS26-PRESS (press only), YOUR BUSINESS26-WORKSHOP (workshop rooms). Roughly 800 Mbps symmetric per device under load. Captioning runs on a separate channel.
Yes. The catering covers vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, halal, kosher, and the standard menu. You'll be asked at registration. If you have something more specific (FODMAP, severe allergy, IBS), email tickets@yourbusiness.com and we'll loop in the catering chef directly.
Registration desk is in the main foyer of Palácio Galé. Open Wednesday Sept 16, 16:00–20:00, then 08:00 every day of the conference. Bring your ticket QR (in your email or on your phone). The line moves fastest before 09:00 and after 14:00.
Yes. The foyer has a staffed coat check open 08:00–22:00 each conference day. Free for ticket holders. Suitable for everything up to a carry-on; for larger bags, the Palácio recommends Bounce-locations within five minutes' walk.
Whatever you'd wear to your studio on a Wednesday. Lisbon in September averages 24°C / 75°F during the day and 17°C / 63°F at night — bring a layer for the rooftop sessions. Closing dinner is "smart casual" but nobody's checking.
Not to the conference floor. Companion passes are available for €110 and cover the Thursday opening social and the Saturday closing dinner only. Email tickets@yourbusiness.com with the companion's name to add one.
We try harder than most. If anything below is missing, write us.
Yes — fully. The Palácio underwent a 2019 accessibility renovation. Step-free entry from Patio da Galé. Elevator access to all three floors. Reserved wheelchair seating at the front of every row in the main stage and at all workshop rooms. Two accessible bathrooms per floor. Contact accessibility@yourbusiness.com for a video walkthrough.
Yes. Every talk on the main stage is captioned live in 14 languages by a hybrid AI + human-editor pipeline (about 1.2 second latency). Captions project to a side screen and stream to your phone via the conference app. Workshop sessions are auto-captioned in English and Portuguese only.
Yes — on request, free of charge. Both LIBRAS (Brazilian Sign Language) and BSL/ASL interpreters are available for keynote talks. Request at registration or email accessibility@yourbusiness.com at least 30 days before the conference.
The Side Gallery off the main foyer is reserved as a quiet room all three days. No phones, low light, soft seating, ten desks. WiFi is intentionally weaker. Free for any attendee, no booking. We also keep a small supply of foam earplugs at the registration desk.
Yes. Service animals are welcome anywhere attendees are. We have water bowls and a quiet outdoor area at the back of the rooftop terrace. Let us know in advance so we can coordinate seating.
Yes. Two of the four bathrooms on each floor are gender-neutral, and signage matches. The other two are gendered. Bathrooms are mapped on the conference app and on signage in the foyer.
What you can take home, and how soon.
Yes. Standard and VIP tickets get same-day video, dropped to your account by 22:00 each evening. Early bird gets a 7-day delayed bundle. All talks are released to the public on YouTube exactly six months after the conference closes.
Catered lunch all three days, three socials (Thursday opening, Friday studio tours, Saturday closing dinner), and the Your Business networking app — a one-week curated 1:1 matchmaker that runs the week before the conference. VIPs also get studio tours and the speakers' dinner.
No. Tickets are 3-day only — we don't sell single-day passes. The schedule is built around continuity (every attendee sees every talk), so a single-day pass would feel like watching half a movie. If 3 days doesn't work, we'd rather you got a full refund.
You pick at registration (Standard tier picks 3, VIP unlimited, Early bird 2). Each workshop seats 40–60. We recommend picking your top 5 in priority order — we re-balance on the day to fill empty seats.
The current schedule is "draft v3.2." Final schedule lands in your email 72 hours before doors. We've never moved a keynote, but talks shuffle order occasionally and workshops can swap rooms. The conference app reflects changes in real time.
For attendees flying in from elsewhere.
Depends on passport. EU/EEA/Swiss citizens: no. UK, US, Canada, Australia, NZ, most Latin American + Asian countries: 90-day Schengen visa-free entry. From 2026, the new ETIAS pre-authorization system applies for visa-free travelers — apply at least 72 hours before travel at the official ETIAS site (€7, valid 3 years). Confirm at vistos.mne.gov.pt.
Metro Blue Line direct from Aeroporto Humberto Delgado to Cais do Sodré, 24 minutes, €1.80. Or taxi/Uber/Bolt 25–35 minutes, €18–22. We do not recommend the airport shuttle services — slower and more expensive.
€95–180/night for partner hotels with the YOUR BUSINESS26 code. We've negotiated rates at nine hotels, listed on the venue page. Booking opens with the conference at the same code. The most-walkable budget option is Lisbon Story Guesthouse (€68); books out fastest.
Yes — and we recommend Sunday + Monday in Lisbon. Take the train to Sintra (40 min). Visit Belém. Eat at one of the markets. Most partner hotels honor the conference rate for 2 days before and 2 days after.
Mostly yes, with caveats. The hills are steeper than they look. Wear shoes you can walk 8 km in. The trams are charming but unreliable; budget time. Bike-share (GIRA) covers the flatter routes downtown.
The cultural questions. Read our full code of conduct for the long version.
Three options. (1) In person at the registration desk — staffed all conference hours. (2) Via the in-app red panic button — escalates immediately to two on-call staff. (3) Email safety@yourbusiness.com — read by the safety team only, response within 60 minutes during conference hours.
Yes. Speakers and sponsors sign the same code of conduct as attendees. We have removed two speakers and one sponsor from past editions for code-of-conduct violations. We will do it again if needed.
Yes — of stage talks. Not of attendees in social settings, badges, or non-public conversations without explicit consent. Speakers can opt out of being photographed; their badge will have a small no-photo icon. Press credentials require pre-registration.
Yes — quote freely, photograph the stage, share what you learned. We ask that you don't quote or photograph other attendees' private conversations or hallway-track exchanges without consent.
