The crew.

Two-person production team. 412 gigs deep. Started in a Crown Heights basement, currently running residencies in three cities.

— How we got here

From a basement to a residency.

The crew started in 2014 as a $200/night warehouse-party DJ duo in Crown Heights. We played five basement parties a month for three years before any actual venue would book us — but the basement crowd became the basement loyalty, and by 2017 we had a Friday-night residency at Output that ran for fourteen weeks.

We are still that two-person crew. We've added a touring sound rig, a touring lighting rig, and a third crew member who handles install + tech, but the people in the booth on Friday night are the people who started the basement parties.

We're picky about the gigs we take. We say no to about 60% of inquiries — usually because the date is held, sometimes because the venue or the fit isn't right. The result is that we end up with a calendar of gigs we actually want to play.

— Twelve years, six chapters

A short chronology.

2014

Crew Founded

First gig is a $200 basement party in Crown Heights. 22 people show up.

2017

Output Residency

14-week Friday-night residency at Output Brooklyn. The first thing that proved this was a job.

2019

First Wedding

A friend's wedding becomes the first wedding gig. The wedding crowd ends up booking three more.

2021

Touring Rig

The first owned-rather-than-rented sound + lighting rig. The night the touring kit arrives is also the night we start saying yes to international.

2024

Coachella '25

The Yuma Tent saturday slot at Coachella. The hardest set we'd ever played to that point.

2026

Three-City Rotation

Steady residencies in NY, LA, and Miami. 140+ nights/year. Calendar runs ~9 months ahead.

— Who's in the booth

The two of us.

Plus a third crew member who lives in the lighting rig. Below are the headliners.

Mira Jentsch

CO-FOUNDER · LEAD DJ

Started DJing on cassette decks in a Berlin squat at 17. Moved to NY in 2012. Open-format specialist, UK garage encyclopedia, the calmest person we've ever seen behind a CDJ when the rig fails.

Devon Reyes

CO-FOUNDER · LEAD DJ + MC

Came up through Miami dance music in the early 2010s. Now lives between LA and NY. Tech-house lead, MC duties on weddings, and the half of the crew who reads a wedding-reception room better than anyone we've ever seen.

— Three things we will not do

House rules.

01

No 200-track playlists.

We mix. We layer. We don't run "all-night-on-shuffle" sets. If you want a Spotify playlist on a speaker, we are not the right vendor.

02

No on-the-night requests we hate.

Tell us your must-plays and your do-not-plays in the consult. We honor the must-plays, period. The do-not-plays stay off the floor. We don't take requests from drunk uncles.

03

No blowing the budget on lights.

The night you remember is not the night with the most lights. We bring a tasteful kit and we don't upcharge it. Light cues serve the music, not the photographer.
